The Art Institute of York – Pennsylvania is one of The Art Institutes, a system of over 35 education institutions throughout North America, providing education in design, media arts, fashion and culinary arts. Founded in 1952 as the York Academy of Arts and later named Bradley Academy for the Visual Arts, the school was renamed The Art Institute of York – Pennsylvania on October 29, 2007 [1]. In August 2009, the Art Institute of York started their Bachelor Degree Programs after becoming an accredited college. Currently, the Associate Degree Programs have been taught out and are no longer available but Associate of Science programs are available.
Located in a 38,000-square-foot (3,500 m2) building at 1409 Williams Road in York, Pennsylvania, The Art Institute of York – Pennsylvania is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology.
The Art Institutes system is a subsidiary of Education Management Corporation, which is headquartered in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
